Alamo Rock Shop is a full service lapidary supplier. Our inventory includes rough cutting material suitable for cabbing or faceting, silicon carbide and diamond grinder-sander-polishers, saws, tumblers, grit, sanding and polishing supplies and accessories, blank jewelry, jewelry making tools and supplies, adhesives, cabochons, mineral specimens, books, magnifiers, displays, rock hunting tools, saw blades, diamond compounds, diamond drill bits, diamond carving points, and special order items.

Alamo Rock Shop has been in the lapidary business since 1952 when Fred and Helen Mattke started it in a garage behind their house in San Antonio. In 1979, the business was turned over to their daughter and son-in-law Helen and Lamar Pfeiffer who subsequently moved it to the Pfeiffer Ranch on Interstate 10 between Boerne and San Antonio. Their daughter Lisa Klingaman joined them in the business in 1993 and moved the shop to Boerne in 2007.
